Hello
I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and relocated to DeLand, Florida as a teen. I moved to St. Augustine, Florida in 2001. Upon graduating high school, I became certified in medical transcription, and shortly after, made the decision to be a full-time stay-at-home mom to Logan, then eventually, Laina and Liam.
My hobbies include cooking, baking, cake decorating, reading and gardening. I love to travel, go to concerts, get coffee with friends or hang at the beach and I live for college football season. (Go Bucks!) I live in the country and have more than a dozen cats. I'm not a crazy cat lady, though. I tried not to have this many cats, but when your family insists on saving every one...
Photography has been an interest of mine for many years. I had a camera in my hands as early as the age of 6 and have always loved documenting everything from family and friends to nature and architecture. I believe there is no such thing as a perfect picture, only a perfect moment.
Genealogy research helped me to fall in love with photography even more. The ability to keep our memories alive through photographs is like time travel. Not only does it keep us connected with our history, it allows our most precious memories to be shared with future generations. Many things we purchase in life will be discarded or replaced, but our memories are forever.
Photos give us the chance to relive the best days of our lives, telling a story through visualization. When gazed upon, a photograph evokes the raw, authentic emotion that was present at the time of its capturing. What a gift!
Photography is a language that can be understood anywhere in the world and an art that can be appreciated by all.
